Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem) offers Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) plans in many areas of California and in New York. If you’re a resident of the Golden State or the Empire State, you may be able to get your Original Medicare (Medicare Part A and Part B) benefits and prescription drug coverage in one Anthem Medicare Advantage plan.
Medicare Advantage plans offer an alternative way to obtain Original Medicare benefits, and many Medicare Advantage plans offer coverage for services that Original Medicare doesn’t typically cover.
Many Anthem Medicare Advantage plans may offer dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drug coverage. Some plans may offer benefits such as SilverSneakers® membership, non-emergency transportation, allowances for over-the-counter health products and more.
Some Anthem Medicare Advantage plans may have a monthly premium, deductibles, copayments and coinsurance costs, though some plans may feature $0 monthly premiums.2
Plan costs can vary depending on the type of plan you have and the benefits that are offered.
Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system.
