SilverSneakers® is a fitness program designed specifically for seniors offered at thousands of gyms and community centers around the country.
While Original Medicare (Medicare Part A and Part B) doesn’t cover fitness memberships, some Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) plans offer benefits intended to help you improve your health and wellness.

SilverSneakers is offered at thousands of gyms and community centers all over the U.S. SilverSneakers members can also access online fitness classes and pre-recorded workout videos that allow you to stay in shape from the comfort of home.
There are many different types of classes that may be included as part of a SilverSneakers program. The selection of courses can vary by location.

Classes are designed specifically for older adults and are typically taught by instructors who are trained in senior fitness.
A SilverSneakers membership also comes with a basic membership to the facility offering the class. This can grant you access to the facility amenities such as pools, walking tracks, weight and cardio machines, basketball and tennis courts and other activities and services.
